Substitute fulfillment
Substitute fulfillment is one of the three methods to comply with the legally mandated employment of persons with disabilities (hereinafter referred to as "PWD") at a mandatory rate of 4% of the total number of employees, according to § 81 of the amended Employment Act No. 435/2004 Coll., applicable to all employers with more than 25 employees.
To meet the so-called mandatory quota, there are three methods:
- Employ PWD in a ratio of at least 4% of the total number of employees.
- Pay to the state budget 2.5 average wages for each unemployed PWD.
- Substitute fulfillment, which involves purchasing products or services from employers with more than 50% PWD.
- A combination of the three previous methods.
If an employer purchases goods and services as substitute fulfillment, they can save up to 35% of the purchase price of products or services acquired this way.
